Vogue Festival : Postcards From New York

I spent my Saturday w. Vogue, and honestly I didn’t want it to end lolThe biggest lesson of the day came from Anna Wintour:
“It’s great to have talent, but it’s equally important to try different things. Throw yourself in at the deep end. Have discipline, a strong work ethic, and fierceness too.”
That set the tone for everything that followed.
Meeting Mi-Anne Chan and seeing the Teen Vogue team in action reminded me that great media is built by people who are curious enough to keep asking questions.
Sadie Sink was my favorite conversation of the day. Hearing her talk about trusting your instincts, hitting your mark, taking risks, protecting your independence, and staying grounded while moving between Broadway, film, and what’s next made me think: she deserves every fashion campaign coming her way. @sadiesink_
Maisie Williams had one of my favorite takeaways too, don’t forget to have fun. Sometimes the best creative work comes from enjoying the process instead of chasing perfection. @maisie_williams
Then came the music.
Julia Wolf had the entire room singing In My Room. Goth girl energy, raw lyrics, and one of those performances that makes you immediately add a song to your playlist.
Lexa Gates completely surprised me. If you’re looking for an emerging artist, start there.
One panel after another kept coming back to the same ideas:
• Build community, not just followers.
• Passionate fans create culture.
• Personality will always beat perfection.
• Keep showing up.
• Trend forecasting is about imagining where people want to go next, not where they are today.
Outside the stage, I met incredible people from Hinge, American Express, Nordstrom, Lafayette 148, and eBay, and had conversations that reminded me why networking still matters when it’s genuine.
Street style was fearless. The energy felt like summer camp for fashion people, mixed with live music, big ideas, and thousands of creatives figuring it out together.
